Essay Writing

Talking about historical events, it is often claimed that factors such as the evidence, popular culture and politics can affect how historical are described. In this essay I am going to analyse two of them and decide which of them is more relevant.

To begin with, evidence is a very important factor because it is supposed to prove what happened. The information is also neutral, since its goal is to verify history. Therefore, it is true that the data could be modified to someone else's advantage, it is supposed to be right, but, How can we know? Additionally, statements might not be from a reliable sourse, in the end, we can never be sure if the information obtained is true.

Furthermore, the popular culture can influence how the historical events are described. In this case, the information obtained is from personal experiences told by people who actually were there and have specific details that you don't get from a book. Still, the testimonies they provided can be exaggerated or just not true, these stories are so long that you can't be sure if it is true. Moreover, the information had been passed down to younger generations for so long that the information might be different because of the different versions.

Taking everything into consideration, I believe the Factor which has most influence on how historical events are described is evidence. Not only is it less likely to be faked, but it is usually checked by many experts before publishing it.
